"Quite honestly, this is a stunning little place. Truly fantastic food from here, all chalked up daily on the blackboard and cooked to perfection in the back. We eat here a lot and it's never failed to impress us, whether we've been after a straightforward steak or the must-try lamb shoulder, which is absolutely massive and drenched in a delicious redcurrant sauce.
The atmosphere is also splendid - this is a quiet pub with a most relaxing air, and in summer the courtyard at the back provides an enchanting place to enjoy a quiet pint. Not to be missed!"
