"Prestwick airport near Ayr is about 40 mins away from Glasgow You can easily get there by car, bus or train buses and trains stop right at the airport. Its a smaller airport than most, I have flew from here twice and never had any problems at all early in the morning flights so couldn't get the train but a bus goes from glasgow city centre early in the morning Ryanair flies from prestwick airport so lots of cheap flights avail to a lot of places. There is plenty of parking and hotels nearby if they are needed. Theres a couple of shops and a wetherspoons pub- restaurant and whsmith aswell for those last min mags and sweets currency exchange and cash machines. I found the staff friendly and helpful. Prestwick airport is the only place in the uk that Elvis ever set foot on but he never left the airport think it was just to refuel wee bit of history."
