"Blue Reef aquarium is on the small side but does however make a great attraction especially when it's raining. I first visited the aquarium with my mum as she loves fish and she truly enjoyed the aquarium. Considering the size of the aquarium there is quite a lot to see and explore, there is the fascinating Blue Reef nursery which is host to various captive breeding programmes the baby sea horses are so cute and amazing – the children normally love this section.

Also at blue reef there is the tropical paradise – this is the centre piece of the aquarium where you can get up close to the tropical fish by walking through a tunnel which is running through the centre of the reef. The tropical waters are home to a variety of sharks, including the graceful black tip reef shark, as well as rays, moray eels and lionfish.
The aquarium is renowned for the visitor involvement sessions where there are displays, informative talks and feeding demonstrations.
There are also many crabs and other species at the aquarium that are bound to fascinate all.

There are some good facilities including Baby changing facilities, toilets, a café and a wonderful gift shop.

Blue Reef Aquarium is open daily from 10am
Last admission is 5pm (4pm November - February)
We are closed on Christmas Day only.
Admission Prices are: Adult £6.50, Child £4.50, Senior £5.50, family £18.99
The Aquarium can be found in the town centre of Newquay.
For Blue Reef Aquarium follow signs to town centre car parks and pedestrian signs will direct to Towan Beach via Beach Road if you wish to avoid steps. Signs will also direct you through the green area called Killacourt - where there are some quite steep steps down to the beach."
