"My kids (7&9)and me, had a very hilarious and energetic time on this (free) course of sixteen chains suspended from trees in the forest area. Trying to balance on chains that made us wobble like jellies, created huge laughs, which of course caused more wobbling. Even so we were determined to complete the whole course without putting our feet on the ground. I would say the course is suitable for able bodied people from 5 to - well that's up to the individual. Of course the children suffered no after effects, but my arms and stomach ached for a while. The chains are not very far from the ground so there is no need for any special equipment. There are other things to do here too - a nature trail for children, marked mountain bike routes, walks suitable for all ages, levels of fitness and time constraints, dipping ponds, bird hides, and a little shop and info. centre, where you can get postcards, local guides, maps and small gifts. There are sometimes special events taking place like making bird boxes or identifying trees and the setting is very unspoilt. Guisborough is a short distance away, with pubs, shops and cafes, and there are lots of villages and pubs close by. Guisborough is situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park."
