Alton Towers, Derbyshire, England East MidlandsRecommendation added: 16/02/2006 14:10 By: yangiet (YSUK rating +41) yangiet has been thanked 3 times for this contribution
"I only visited Alton Towers a few years ago, but I will never forget my experience there! If you live anywhere like I do, South London, you better have an early night if you want spare time at the actual Thorpe park!
To get there you take the M1 junction at 23a/24a... it took a long 4 hours to get there so the kids were pretty restless by the time we finally got there! Ticket prices cost around £22, but we had airmiles vouchers so we had a reduced discount. If you are a thrill-seeker this is defintely the park for you! With notorious roller coasters such as: nemesis, oblivion and my favourite air! The queue are extrememly long and thats my only disapprovement on Alton Towers. But you can get fast-track to beat the queues, which is really beneficial especially if you arrived late. Alton Towers offers a huge range of food stores that would suit anyone's desires; from fast food to dining at restaurants! They have a huge car park, so you shouldn't have any problems if you are arriving by car. They have customer friendly services situated at various sites which makes you really welcome! If you have a family, I suggest you to go at an event as it makes the occasion even more special! Alton Towers - a day not to forget." Was this recommendation useful?
