What a strange place for a holiday

"A strange choice at first thought for a quick break, a busy dirty city with nothing to see ?? NO far from it.
Birmingham has more canals than Venice, a fact the locals are very proud off, and tours of the canals around the city and nearby areas show that there is alot more to the city than you might think.
Shoping, yes of course the new "mailbox" shoping centre offers all you could want as does the bull-ring, but for a true taste and a true bargin then the markets around the bull-ring are hard to beat.
Fancy something a bit different the the Chinese quarter offers an experience not to be missed and a welcome you would find hard to beat.
The "Birmingham eye" may not be as big as the London Eye, but the views are fantastic and the ice rink just below it is always good fun.
On a night, there are the clubs on Broad Street, Irish bars, quiet pubs with wonderful well priced food and so much more.
It may not be two weeks in the sun for the whole family, but for a short city break you may be surprised at what you find, and how quickly you want to come back."
