"This is a scream pub, which if your a student you'll have heard of. With proof of being a student you can purchase for £2 a 'yellow card' which works in all scream pubs and saves you money off drinks and food for a year, or for £5 a 'gold card' which saves you money forever at sream pubs/bars/clubs. Now whats so different about this pub I hear you ask. Well the clues in the name, it's a boat.
Well it looks like a boat whether it is or not I'm not sure, but it's a pretty novel idea.
It has 3 pool tables which cost a pound to play, and three fruit machines for all you gamblers out ther. It has a jukebox which costs £1 for 3 songs or £2 for 7 and has a wide variety of songs. There is also a quiz machine and a cash machine (although the cash point does charge).
It is located on Putney road, just by the university of Leicester, next to Nixon court university halls.
And when you come out they have a lovely burger van called AJ's which does the best kebabs in Leicester (in my opinion anyway).
They serve food all day and have a special menu which is two for £5 which you've got to admit is pretty cheap.
On a Sunday night they have a quiz night, where the money goes into a pot and the winning team takes all (I think it's 50p per person).
Monday night is cheap night, with many popular drinks starting at £1.
It's a nice place to go for a drink, and a good place to impress your mates with when you tell them your going for a pint in the boat!"
