Here be dolphinsLyme Regis, Dorset, England South WestRecommendation added: 05/03/2006 16:21 By: Rincewind (YSUK rating +25) Rincewind has been thanked 2 times for this contribution
"A friend told me that in Lyme Regis you can see the dolphins swimming in the bay, so out came the map, and after a while looking all around Devon I eventually found it, in Dorset.
We booked into a nice little hotel, the Dorset Hotel, a short walk from the town center, and after a quick meal and a beer, you should know me by now, we set off in search of the dolphins. The beach was nice, clean and the sun on my shoulders put me in a very good mood, but dolphins ? Hmmmm maybe they are shy today. Over the next few days we enjoyed the walks, and there are some good ones along the cliffs, very relaxing, with some great views. We took advantage of some of the great restaurants in the town and had a great break, untill the last day when it was time to go home. One last time we walked along the golden beach looking out to sea, hoping to see just a splash, just a clue..and then just as we were about to give up we saw...nothing. but it didn't stop us having a great break and you never know, just maybe here be dolphins."
