"I went here with my grandparents for Sunday lunch, and it was fantastic. There were 4 of us eat for two Sunday dinners, and two steak and ale pies, it cost £20! Most of the meals on the menu are two for £10, the steak is £9 odd alone, so why not take a mate, and pay the extra 50p and get them a dinner too. It is quite a traditional looking pub, with four fruit machines, a quiz machine, a cash machine (which does charge), and a large bar. There is only one side to the bar, but it is large, with the main area being smoking, but three seperate no smoking areas.
Children are allowed in until 9pm, so they can get a meal too, and if you do have kids, they get a free activity pack to keep them entertained (contains crayons, pictures to colour etc).
Now the best bit of the place I think is the food. I had a half a roast chicken with my roast, boiled potatoes, roast potatoes, three vegatables, two yorkshire puddings, the works!
You can have lamb, beef, or chicken with your roast dinner (or vegetarian). The menu is extensive and the service was surprisingly fast considering how busy they were.
There is a huge choice of puddings, but must admit after the huge dinners, none of us felt we could manage it! The only complaint came from my Grandma who said that the puddings weren't very healthy. But what puddings worth eating are??!?!
If you want a good value, great meal I recommend this place highly."
