"I'm sure lots of people have been to Cornwall, but I bet only 1% know of Callestick Farm - The home of delicious ice cream, homemade! Callestick Farm is quite literally in the middle of nowhere, and I will have to explain the direction to you later on in my review.
About The Attraction:
Callestick farm ice cream was founded in 1989, and is still a small family business, producing ice cream of the highest quality - cornish style! That means natural ingredients and flavourings, clotted cream and fresh milk - always. Callestick farm give you the opputunity to experience the ice cream making industry, on a smaller scale. The moment you arrive at Callestick Farm, you will think you have gone to the wrong place. Its tiny! But once you get inside, you will realise size does not matter, its what they do with it what counts! You can actually see the ice cream being made, at no cost. Glass windows view their small factory, and all the equipment inside. It is a facinating insight to how ice cream is made and produced, and after watching it being made, you will not be able to resist trying it! Callestick farm has a cafe, where light lunches are served, and of course, their famous ice cream. There is also interactive stories on the making of ice cream, and farm animal, which the kids will absolutlly adore!
Price:
Previouslly, a visit to callestick farm was free, but do check before you call. Of course, if you want to savour the best ice cream you have ever tasted, you will need to part with some of your cash. Its well worth it!
Location:
As previouslly mentioned, Callestick Farm is situated in the middle of nowhere, which is a great thing. It is so peaceful, you find yourself lost in a different world. To get to Callestick from Truro, take the B3284. go through the small village of Shortlanesend, then follow signs for Callestick. If you are elsewhere in cornwall, I HIGHLY reccommend getting directions before you go. Try using The AA website for their route planner!
