"In my latest series of reviews, I will tell you my favourite hotspots for celebrity spotting. This time round comes famous troubled babyshambles rocker, Pete Doherty, and one of his favourite places to visit. The clockwork is actually my favourite nightclub in the country too, me and friends regularly visit to see the latest bands perform live. Here's my guide:

LOCATION
Clockwork is located on the famous monopoly board location of Pentonville Street, N1, London. The nearest tube station is Angel (2 minute walk).

ABOUT THE CLUB
Clockwork is famous for show casting the latest bands, and popular with everyone from students to aging rockers. It has 2 floors, with loads of space. The closest thing to describe this club is a 'giant house party' with a relaxed atmosphere. They have a huge selection of drinks, including 40 different types of vodka, from all over the world. The club has a very modern feel, and the people are generally chilled out.

THE CELEB SIGHTING
Previous to my first visit to the Clockwork, we knew singer Pete Doherty and the rest of the band have visited. On my first visit, we spotted Pete watching the Vinny Vinny band, and I was absolutely astonished. He had what looked like a minder with him, so we did not approach. I visited about 15 times after this, without any sighting, then back November last year, we saw his former band mate Carl Barat. He was more than happy to talk to me and my group for a while, a very charming character indeed. Although I have only seen Pete the once here, a good friend of mine, who lives in Roehampton, and is a regular visitor to the club, has seen him there about 5 times. This is even a hot spot location for a secret, last minute babyshambles gig (the venue is on the managements books) Other visitors we have spotted here include Tim (The apprentice winner) and Kelly Brook (Page 3 beauty)

It's right bang slap in the centre of Pentonville Road, a few minutes from the Angel tube station. You can't miss it. In my opinion, one of the best hidden live music venues in London. Expect to pay £4 for a vodka and mixer and £3.50 for a pint of lager
