"Many people visit and stay close to Gatwick airport and Crawley being so close offers an extremely good shopping experience with The Mall giving all weather shopping.
Crawley has also many parks and open spaces and the Tilgate Park is a wonderful way to spend a few hours whilst staying in the area before jetting off on your holiday.
Tilgate offers so many wonderful features with it's lakes and miles of Woodland walks and bridleways, there is also a nature centre where you can learn about wildlife and domestic animals.
The main lake was used by Malcolm Campbell in the 1940's for flotation trials for his speedboat 'Bluebird'
So when next down in the area visit the Tilgate Park, enjoy the country-side and if mum does not fancy this just send her off to the shops but be warned with the vast range of these she may have spent all the holiday money before you get on your flight"
