"The Bure Valley Railway opened in 1990 and it offers an 18 mile round trip through beautiful countryside which is amazing.
Norfolks longest 15inch gauge line runs between the old market town of Aylsham and Wroxham. It also stops in between as Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall. You can get on or off the trains at any of the stations. Aylsham station is open daily even when the trains are not running where they have a gift shop and a model shop as well as the Whistlestop Restaurant. Aysham station is also only a 5 minute walk from the town centre so great for a day out shopping! It is quite easy to access the Bure Valley Railway at either Aylsham or Wroxham, and you will find that there are varied ways to get there including car, coach, rail, bus and boat! Children under 5 years old travel free with a maximum of 3 children per adult. They also offer discounts for familys and groups of 20 or more. You do need to pay for bicycles and dogs however. Bure Valley is fully wheelchair accessible. Return tickets are for unlimited travel on the day that they are issued. Meaning you could stop at each station and fully explore everything there is to see at each station! They also run driver training courses which if its something you are interested in doing could be a great experience though i think you would need to contact them before going to ensure you can take part. I haven't personally done this so I dont know the full details. Both Aylsham and Wroxham stations are all on the one level, including shops, toilets, café, platforms and even the workshops at Aylsham. Which is an absolute godsend if you are travelling with young children or are disabled. For more information you can contact Bure Valley the following ways, im unaware of a website for them though.
