"Mablethorpe is one of the quieter seaside resorts along the Lincolnshire coast but one of my favourite beaches the sand there is lovely not muddy like some beaches its no wonder it won the 'best seaside reward' in 2000.
Mablethorpe may not be the busiest resort but it still has plenty to offer, along the main high street you can find fast food outlets amusement arcades and some lovely little gift shops you won't find many high street stores but that's the charm of Mablethorpe it hasn't been spoilt by too many high street retailers
Situated right in front of the beach are lots of little shops selling. Ice cream candy floss, dough nuts, hot dogs, chips and all kinds of snacks and also a sweet shop that sells the most delicious fresh warm doughnuts
The toilets on the beach front are very clean and right next to it there is a first aid hut
So you see everything you need is right there on the beach, even the car parks are very close by
The tide is out for most of the day leaving behind rock pools with crabs and shells for children to find we even found a starfish on our last visit it really is an excellent beach for families that don't want the hustle and bustle of the bigger resorts
Mablethorpe is about 17 miles north of the popular Skegness resort it doesn't have its own train station so you would need transport by road its well worth a visit"
