"Chester Zoo is both an indoor and outdoor activity.
This natural attration is both an a fun and educational day out for everyone, no matter what age.
With over 500 differnt species of animal and over 7000 animals in all Chester Zoo is a sure fire winner.
Ive been here many a time with both school and family, and it is always improving and new activites are being built nearly all the time its hard to know what to expect! Some of the animals you can view from a reasonable distance like the rhino's, giraffes and tigers. So you can resta ssured you dont have to rush and your safe. On the other hand some animals your very close up to like the varius monkeys, sealions and birds. Theirs also a petting zoo with little rabbits, goats and guinea pigs! Theirs a sealion show, you can watch varuis animals being fed and theres a spectacular bird show on through out the day.
Its not just aniamsl though why not have a look round the award winning garden? It has beautiful plants, lots of decorations, a public seating area and designated picnic areas its worth a quick look! It is completely wheelchair and pushchair accessible, and The toilets are disabled accessable , as well as plenty of Parent and Baby changing rooms. You will be delighted to know that the new Fun Ark adventure play area, near the Ark Restaurant, is a great place for children of all ages to have a mess about without getting hurt. Theirs a wide range of shops, cafes and ice-cream stalls around. Theirs also face-painting but its only available in some seasons.
Now heres a handy thing if its raining hard on your visit *unfortunately* you can buy a poncho or umbrella, also there's a special "rain buster" route that takes you around all the animals you would see walking but so that you dont get wet! ( it is really good as ive have been their as it was raining when i went)
