"I stayed at this park in August 2005. It was very busy and lively which was fabulous for my daughter (aged 13) and my little fella (aged 3). There was plenty to do on the site in the evenings for my older girl, who quickly made some new friends. It was also an ideal place to be with a very lively 3 year old boy!

In addition, the bus service that comes right into the park was excellent. It would have been a bit awkward otherwise as my son needs a lot of specialist feeding equipment. This bus service meant that we could pop back and forth from the town centre and the beach with minimum hassle and fuss.

I can't say I am a fan of Blackpool. It's my idea of a nightmare, but if you are going to do a beach resort holiday for the kids, then it might as well be Blackpool. There is something for all ages. Even the Pleasure Park caters for the older and younger children. The rides are carefully graded so we all managed to have a very full, safe and enjoyable day.

Once the Pleasure Park has been fully explored there is the huge beach, the trams, the Tower, the zoo and plenty of rock and gift shops for the little one's to blow their holiday money.

It was lovely to retire in the early evening to the well appointed caravan and relax for a bit. Once we had recharged our batteries it was fabulous to have the on-site entertainment. Perfect for me to kick back and relax whilst the children were entertained.

The one thing I did not like about Blackpool was the cost of eating out. I found it ridiculously expensive - which would have been OK if the food had been of a good standard. (I am a chef, so I\'m probably very hard to please). Thankfully the cooking facilities in the caravan were excellent, so after a shopping spree in Marks and Spencers (well we were on holiday!), we ate very well.

This was the first time I had tried this type of Caravan Park and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I can highly recommend this clean, friendly and well-located site.

I found this site to be very poor - it was generally dirty and the toilet areas were disgusting.

I went on one of the sun offers - never again you obviously get what you pay for!

we went to martin mere last year for a short break, over the weekend and was considering the possabillity of returning with our three year old monster for a week long break. However before we decided i thought i would look at a few reviews from other holiday makers before making ny decision, glad i looked at yours you have helped to make my mind up, i will be returning as the park had a lot to offer when we holidayed there last year but i wasn't sure if it would keep my daughter entertained for a full week. Thanks very much i can look forward to a relaxing welcome break not to far from home.

Hi, its a couple of miles, but there is a bus that goes directly into the camp site. It wouldn't cost the earth to cab when you first arrive.
