"Whether you're looking for a day out with the kids, a break from home with your other half or a solo expedition, Cheshire is the place to go. With all the fun that's to be had at Chester Zoo - I think I get more out of going there with my partner than half the kids I see there - not to mention the educational experience; the ladies who like to lunch can just pop round the corner to the retail park (Cheshire Oaks) and lunch on the way at any of the selection of food centres. There's something for everybody's taste whether you're after a quick snack or a rich meal for those hungry men in our lives at TGI Fridays. Staying for a weekend? Then why not travel a little further down the road and stop off at The Blue Planet Aquarium in Ellesmere Port?! Once again, there's something for the kids, shopping opportunities and places to eat. It's certainly one of my favourite birthday treats! Alternatively, you could have a day out at Chester Race course or visit Tabley House where the point-to-point races are held and watch the horses, visit the many stalls or take a look at the house itself. Finally, I must mention Chester town centre - a great shopping trip, some lovely architecture and great places to stay. It doesn't have to be too expensive and has something to suit all tastes and ages."
