"Right in the middle of Dudley Town centre is Dudley Zoo and Castle Dudley Zoo (or DZG as it likes to call itself) has been helping to save some of the worlds biggest, rarest and most exotic animals for years. With animals such as Asiatic lions, sumatran tigers, lemurs, penguins, chimps and orangutans plus the usual suspects such as snakes and spiders and lizards the DZG i a day out to remember.
There is a land train to ferry you around, an adventure playground, fun fair & bouncy castle. Watch out for the feeding events - and watch the animals at feeding times. take part in Dr Dudleys Zoo tour - approx 30 mins - and get up close with some unusual animals.
However - DZG is not just about the animals - the on site education centre also run courses to combat small animal and spider phobias. You can book a childs birthday party at the zoo (from ages 1+) which includes buffet, storys, games, zoo tours and FREE admission for the accompanying adults too).
Not into parties? look on the website for many other events such as line dancing extravaganzas and 'fright nights' Looking for a gift? Why not treat someone and let them be a zoo-keeper for a day.
Admission costs £9.95 for adults / £6.75 child (under 4s Free) - see website for various other prices - lots of group rates/carer rates and annual membership prices available. Annual membership comes with comp tickets and various exclusive events/discounts . All entrance fees include a donation towards DZG conservation work for endangered species."
