"The Theme Park itself is full of wonderful rides that I enjoy everytime I go there (I've been a fair few times). It has its rollercoasters, its log flumes and like a good Theme Park should, its kiddy rides.
Flamingo Land boasts more than 100 white-knuckle rides and slides that the whole family can enjoy. Among others, there's the Magnum Force, The Bullet and The Corkscrew for the braver members of the family and the Tea Cups and the Dragon Coaster for the smaller members of the family (or those don't feel like going on the white-knuckle rides!)
And when you want a break from the rides, you can enjoy the many Games Stalls or a nice meal in one of the many restauarants.
The zoo is home to over 1,000 different animals, including African Lions, Giraffes, Rhinoceroses, Hippos, Siberian Tigers, Zebras, Camels, Monkeys, Sea Lions, Reptiles, Penguins, Meerkats and of course, you can't forget the famous pink flamingos from which the Park got its name.
In the Bird Walk part of the Zoo, you can see birds of all shapes and sizes from ostriches to the tiny finches.
There are so many Animals in the Zoo that it could take a whole day just to see them, but it's definately worth it with the wide variety of animals there in my opinion.
Overall, I'd say that Flamingo Land is definately a place you should visit at least once. It's my favourite Theme Park in the UK and you're getting two in one with the Theme Park and Zoo. Definately value for money in my opinion.
Directions by Car: From the A64, Flamingo Land is located off the A169 Malton to Pickering Road.
Directions by Train: The nearest Train Station to Flamingo Land is in Malton, which is 5 miles away.
Directions by Bus: You can take the National Express which drops off at York, then goes on to Malton. You can also take the Yorkshire Coastliner from the York Railway Station which will drop you off at Flamingo Land.
Flamingo Land is located in Kirby Misperton, near Malton in North Yorkshire and is both a Theme Park and Zoo.
Flamingo Land makes a fun day out for children and adults alike.
The admission prices are as follows:
Adults and children (4 years and over): £19 per person.
Senior Citizens: £9.50 per person.
Children (3 years and under): Free
Disabled Guests and their Carers: £9.50 each
A family ticket for 4 costs £70"
