Filey - A Traditional UK Seaside ResortFileyYorkshire, England Yorkshire Review added: 04/06/2006 14:53 By: Palazzo (£0.00 earned from reviews) Earn £££'s
"Filey is a small fishing town - turned seaside resort located in North Yorkshire, just 7 miles from Scarborough.
I have been to Filey a fair few times in my lifetime and I love it everytime I go. Filey has a nice, friendly atmosphere and, as such, is a nice place to spend a quiet and relaxing holiday away from the noise and stress of normal life. And if you don't want to relax, there is a whole lot of other activities you can do. There's: Surfing, Fishing, Walking, Yachting, Golf, Bird watching, Beautiful Gardens, Caravanning/Camping, Amusement Arcades, Entertainment, Historical Interests and Local Events. You might just have to stay a whole week to be able to do all of what Filey has to offer! Other than it being a beautiful seaside town, Filey is also famous for its delicious Fish and Chips. So if you do go to Filey, you shouldn't miss out on this wonder! I'd reccommend Filey to anyone who wants either a quiet, relaxed holiday or a holiday full of activities! You can get to Filey by Car by taking the A64 (Signposted Scarborough), taking the second exit at Staxton Roundabout onto the A1039 (Signposted Filey) then continuing on for about 8 miles until you reach Filey. To get to Filey by Bus, you can take the Yorkshire Coastliner directly there if you take the number 845 or X45. You can get to Filey by Train by taking a Northern Rail train." | |
