"A great free entry activite in Glasgow.
1 Bunhouse Road, Glasgow,G3 8DP
The transport museum is just across from the Kelvingrove art Galleries, easy to get to with bus stops and underground stations nearby.
The museums displays are grouped into sections of trams and steam trains, underground trains, horse-drawn vehicles, cars, bikes and motor bikes, and model ships (250 of them). There are extra items within each display such as clothing from the period, stories and some video displays. Most of the cars are not to be touched, however if you take the guided tour (also free and not too crowded) they let you inside some of the trams and trains. If the kids misbehave you can always let them try the seats in the prison van.
The café is good priced, not too expensive.
The museum has lifts and toilets and should keep the kids (or the young at heart) occupied for a couple of hours."

My fella would love it here - we're regular visitors to the Coventry Transport Museum...
