"Our family have been staying at Wells-Next-the-Sea for nine years now. We took our first holiday there when our son was a little baby and have returned at least once a year since. We have stayed in the caravans at Pinewoods Holiday Park, also camped out in our tent. However, for an Easter holiday in 2005, we booked the little cottage called "Wagtails" at the top of the town, near the church.

Wagtails is a really lovely house. It has three bedrooms, fully equipped for a family, but equally suitable for a couple or an adults-only group.
The kitchen is the nicest holiday-home kitchen I have ever had the pleasure to use - large, clean, well designed and equipped with everything we could possibly want, including a freezer, microwave and a six-seater table. There is also a washing machine, with a dryer in the garage, just a short step from the back door.
One of the bedrooms has a bookcase full of children's books and a toybox, as well as resident cuddly toys. Our son was delighted with the play-house in the garden. He was able to go out and sit in it, even when it snowed!
The garden is smallish, but pretty and private - a lovely place to sit in the sunshine and drink a morning cup of coffee.
The sitting room is spacious and nicely set out, with comfortable seating, a wood-burning stove and even a desk and chair, which we found very useful for our little computer and our son's drawing. There is also a well-stocked bookcase, playing cards and a few games. The owners even have a well-equipped "doggy-box" for visiting canines. There's also a good stock of local information, so we could find our way around and decide what to do on the rare occasion when we didn't fancy the town or the beach.
All-in-all, we feel that Wagtails is really a great place to stay. Add to that, its location in what is perhaps the most lovely seaside town in Britain, and it comes pretty close to perfection. I think we'll be going there again quite soon!"
