"If driving through Morpeth Northumberland and fancy a bite to eat stop at the Sun Inn. Serves food until 9pm with home made meals such as Mince and Dumplings, Steak and Ale pie and many more. Children are also welcome although there is not a childrens play area. Even if you just call in for a drink it is well worth it in this friendly town and pub."

Comments Submitted by G. Graham on Saturday, 15th September 2007, 11:52am Had a meal here in June 2007. Excellent food & service. So took friends there a couple of weeks ago. Service good considering how busy they were. However, the steak I ordered was small for the money, and afterwards we realised they'd billed us for a portion of chips we did not have. When we mentioned this to them on pying, they plainly did not believe us and we ended up stood there for about 10 minutes while they went through all the bills and order slips and went and got the waitress etc - of course, we were proved right, but I was disgusted that we'd been treated as if we were liars in front of a pub full of people. It was a bill of well over £100, so we would hardly be lying over the price of a portion of chips! A little common sense would have gone a long way - instead they've lost the future £100's of pounds we would have spent there - for the price of a portion of chips! | |
