"We have always thought that the Taj Mahal was one of the best Indian restaurants that we had ever tried. The premises has been refurbished and is comfortable and well-appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service excellent. If you like a curry you will love the Taj Mahal. Their food is the best we have tried anywhere. Now it seems that our impressions are shared by much more illustrious company. MPs, all over Britain, nominated their local curry restaurant to compete in the 2006 Tiffin Cup. The finalists prepared a meal at Westminster which was judged by a celebrity panel including Loyd Grossman, Ainsley Harriot and Nina Wadia. The Taj Mahal won the accolade of being the best curry house in Britain. Best of all, it is in walking distance (or a short taxi ride for the less energetic) of Haroldston Farmhouse."
