From London/the East: take the M4 to Bristol and the M5 to Exeter then the A30 dual carriageway to Okehampton. Turn off to Okehampton and continue into the town. At the third set of traffic lights (ignoring the pedestrian lights), turn right onto the A386 to Folly Gate and Hatherleigh. At the T-junction turn right, continue through the village and stay on this road until you arrive at Hatherleigh roundabout. Take the third exit into the town following the road round to the left, opposite The Bridge Inn turn right onto South Street passing Pound Meadow. Thomas Roberts House is at the next crossroads. Turn right onto Higher Street and the bed and breakfast is on your right with the green railings on the wall.
Alternatively from London take the M3 and A303 to Exeter then as above.
From the South: take the A386 through Tavistock to Sourton staying on this road to Folly Gate then follow as above.
From the West: take the A30 dual carriageway to the Hatherleigh/Tavistock exit. Turn left onto the A386 to Folly Gate then as above.

At Thomas Roberts House you can enjoy a comfortable stay with 3 en-suite guest rooms in the Grade 2 listed building. Fully restored the B&B offers modern facilities and still retains the charm and character of the original building.
The Thomas Roberts Room is light and airy with views over the towns' thatched and slate rooftops and the cobbled courtyard. This room can be used as a double or twin with private bathroom containing bath and shower. There's a decorative cast iron fireplace, mahogany and antique furniture, wall cupboard with china and books and a flat screen TV and DVD player.
The Carter Room is perfect for a romantic break with queen size bed and space for a single bed, private bathroom with large shower, Victorian linen press, dressing table with mirror, clock radio and TV and DVD player. There is antique furniture, paintings, co-ordinating linens and views over the countryside and town where you can watch the sunset.
The Chalcraft Room has a queen size bed, private bathroom with large quadrant shower, wardrobe, dressing table and TV and DVD player combined.
Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and towels are provided in each bedroom and each bathroom with ceramic tiled floors and high quality fixtures and fittings. Iron, ironing board and trouser press are available for guest use.
In the morning you can enjoy a delicious full English breakfast made with locally sourced produce where possible.
Additional facilities at the Bed & Breakfast include broadband and wireless internet access, facilities for small meetings, lock up garage for bikes, garden for guest use and off road parking at the front of Thomas Roberts House.
