From the M6: exit at Junction 36 following the A591 towards Kendal. After a few miles turn left onto the A590 towards Barrow and follow this road for about 6 miles.
Turn right at the sign for Levens and Brigsteer on the A50 and continue through the village of Levens and follow the signs for Brigsteer.
Continue on this road through the forest for 2 miles and as you enter Brigsteer, Plumtree House Bed and Breakfast is the first house on the right.
Public Transport: Kendal has the nearest bus/train station. We are 3 miles from Kendal so a taxi to Brigsteer will not be too expensive.

Plumtree House is a 3 star Bed and Breakfast ideally situated on the edge of the Lake District with each bedroom enjoying scenic Cumbrian countryside views.
There are 3 en-suite bedrooms available – two doubles and one twin room all including a colour TV, radio, hairdryer, shaver points and tea and coffee making facilities. Children and pets are very welcome at Plumtree House.
To help set you up for the day you can enjoy a delicious full English breakfast with fresh local Cumbrian produce and a selection of cereals and fruit juice. If you have any special dietary requirements or different tastes such as vegetarian or Continental, just let us know and we'll be happy to cater for you.
After a long day exploring the area you can return to the guest lounge with its real log fire and relax with a good book or watch some TV. For an evening meal there is a great village pub within five minutes walking distance or Kendal 3 miles away has a much lager variety of places to eat and drink. If you're not sure where to go we'd be happy to recommend some to you.
