The countryside and coast offers so much - wide sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, hidden coves, un-spoilt fishing villages, countryside and coastal walks, wonderful views, etc. Among the attractions which must not be missed is the fantastic Eden Project, which is only about 20 miles south of Padstow. There are plenty of other attractions including historic houses, wonderful gardens, castles, pretty harbours, heritage centres, theme parks, theatres and even a vineyard. Sports and outdoor pursuits include: surfing, golf, swimming, riding, sailing, hiking, fishing, diving, seafishing, windsurfing and cycling.
There are plenty of places to eat from Rick Stein's seafood restaurant and Michelin star awarded Ripleys to Fish and Chips and of course Cornish Pasties. Choose from a large number of restaurants, pubs, inns, cafes and takeaways.
