Local Attractions
There is a lot to do in this area including golf, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, walking – seven Munros within an hour's drive, painting, writing, boat trips, riding, touring and history and bird and wildlife watching. Our conservatory is equipped with binoculars and telescope where we have seen seals, otters and even a dolphin!
If you enjoy photography there are some very scenic backdrops of mountains for the landscape photographers as well as wildflowers, gardens and sea shores.
Diving is popular at the firth of Lorn, rich in marine life with rocky reefs and you only have to walk out of the garden and across the road to reach the sea from Strumhor. Kayaking and Canoeing are also available with the surrounding islands within a day's paddle.
Crinan, Nevis, Glencoe and Fort William are also within a 45 minute drive.

B&B / Guest House Description
We have four rooms available in a contemporary style: Lorn a double room with king-sized bed and a sea view, Morvern on the ground floor – each of these rooms have their own en-suites – and Appin and Etive single rooms with basins in each with stunning views of the Falls of Lora and a shared shower room.
Each room has TV and DVD or Video so feel free to choose films or books from our library and there are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.
A wide variety of food is available at breakfast from the buffet plus fried breakfast, Strumhor specials, lighter choices which include croissants and/or fruit platter with cheese or yoghurt and tea and coffee is readily available. We usually serve between 8 and 9am but can suit your needs if you need to travel early. If you would like an evening meal, we can also provide dinner using local ingredients at your request. Please also bring your own beer and wine as we don't have a license.
At Strumhor there have been some stunning sunsets and although it's not guaranteed, can usually be seen between April and October.
If you like the outdoors and would like, we can provide you with expertise in kayaking – Tony is a British Canoe Union Level 4 coach also with experience in hill walking and ski mountaineering and we can arrange transport and activities.
There is private parking available for cars and motorbikes and secure parking for bikes.
