Self Catering Cottage/Home/Apartment Description
Highland Club Directs tagline is 'Exclusive Holiday Accommodation' and their Old School Glenlochy Apartment certainly fits the bill.
Situated on the shores of Loch Ness, Glenlochy is located in a fabulously converted Benedictine Monastery which is surrounded by 20 acres of privately owned land. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 6 people in the two double rooms and one twin. This makes Glenlochy ideal for a relaxing break for a group of adults, or a wonderful base for a family holiday taking in some of the best scenery that Scotland has to offer.
The entire apartment oozes class and style; decorated in neutral tones with excellent quality furniture, the interior of Glenlochy is quite simply stunning. The Master Suite has an en-suite bathroom, and there is also a larger family bathroom which is a very spacious, modern and relaxing room. All bedrooms are light and airy with excellent views of the surrounding area, with the twin bedroom overlooking the pretty patio area of the apartment.
The living area, dining area and kitchen are open plan which makes Glenlochy feel extremely roomy once inside. The dining area seats six around a beautifully designed table with stylish high-back chairs; and when you've finished your meal it's straight through to the living area to relax on one of the comfortable sofas. The Bose sound system in the apartment will enhance your relaxation, or perhaps liven you up depending on your choice of music!
The newly fitted kitchen is well equipped with high specification utensils and kitchenware including cooker and hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and iron plus dishwasher.
Lighting throughout Glenlochy is fabulous thanks to the large windows in the apartment and the various lamps and ceiling lights, and this only adds to the sense of wellbeing you'll have being so close to Scottish nature. You have a beautifully maintained garden so there is no excuse not to grab some real fresh air during your holiday, although the banks of Loch Ness are literally on your doorstep, so fresh air isn't really an issue here! If the weather really is too bad to enjoy the great outdoors, the satellite TV and board games will go some way to relieving your cabin fever.
Holidaymakers using Glenlochy will also have the use of The Highland Club including the Boathouse Restaurant, a pretty loch side restaurant, tennis court and Great Hall where you can have a game of snooker or chill out for a while in the quiet area. As well as Loch Ness, the grounds of the former monastery are also flanked by The Caledonian Canal and River Tarff.
Children are welcome at Glenlochy, and the apartment is fully suitable for elderly or disabled visitors. A generous welcome pack is provided upon arrival plus fresh flowers, and a maid service is available upon request. You can book Glenlochy using the contact details below or by visiting the website and sending an email to Highland Club Direct; weekly rates vary throughout the year so please contact them for pricing details when you've decided when you plan to visit.
