Nestled just outside the picturesque village of Castle Carrock in Cumbria, Tottergill Farm consists of five beautiful holiday cottages located within 50 acres of its own private land.

The cottages all have their own individual décor and unique style with all being maintained to the same high standard. Three of the cottages sleep four people, with the larger Mill Barn Cottage having four bedrooms and sleeping eight and the more compact Gill Cottage having bedrooms to sleep three.

*GARTH COTTAGE*

Garth Cottage is a two bedroom cottage, beautifully designed and furnished with all the modern comforts you could wish to enjoy while on holiday. The spacious open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen with large patio doors is decorated and furnished in light and airy colours meaning this property makes excellent use of natural light throughout the day. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave as well as high quality utensils to enable you to make a complete evening meal.

Two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin, make the cottage perfect for a family holiday in the countryside and are beautifully decorated in neutral colours to appeal to all. The bathroom has a modern feel to it and includes a bath and separate shower cubicle. A large enclosed garden and tasteful patio furniture gives you somewhere to relax when you're not busy seeing everything this beautiful part of the country has to offer.

The views from Garth Cottage are superb; look South and you have a spectacular view of the Lake District hills and to the West you can see over the reservoir to the Scottish hills and Solway Firth.

*GELT COTTAGE*

Gelt Cottage has recently been upgraded and now has a brand new bathroom which is decorated in a stunning monochrome and has a shower over the bath with a beautiful glass shower screen. The large lounge and comfortable furniture makes this cottage a lovely setting in which to relax in the evening, while the large dining table and chairs give you a classy and traditional place to eat your meals.

The large kitchen has recently had a new oak floor laid and as well as incorporating all the same mod cons as Garth, in Gelt you also have an attractive breakfast bar and stools looking out over the pretty garden. Furniture throughout the cottage is attractive and comfortable and the interior is tastefully decorated in neutral colours, the double patio doors in the lounge allow lots of light into the building which is helped by the large windows through the rest of the property.

The enclosed garden is prettily landscaped and a peaceful haven for you and your family to take in some clean air, attractive garden furniture is provided for your comfort. Fabulous views across the Lake District hills can be seen from the cottage.

*GILL COTTAGE*

The smallest of the five cottages, Gill is cosy and welcoming with low beamed ceilings and a real country cottage feel to the furniture and décor. With one double bedroom and one single, this cottage is ideal for a small family – the single room leads directly off the larger double so mum and dad can sleep peacefully knowing their little one can't get past without waking them.

The open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen makes good use of space in the cottage; all furniture is high quality and chosen for the way it compliments the interior of the cottage.

You have an enclosed garden and garden furniture is provided so you can enjoy the uninterrupted views across the reservoir to Solway Firth and the great Scottish Hills.

*LOW BARN COTTAGE*

Low Barn Cottage has a split level open plan layout, with the dining area and kitchen being separated by a traditional hay rack which gives Low Barn a lovely rustic character. Views from the cottage are across the beautiful Lake District hills to the South and you also have a pretty garden which is enclosed and has stylish garden furniture for a spot of al fresco dining.

The double and twin bedrooms are comfortably and attractively furnished with good natural light throughout the day. A large lounge and kitchen/dining area means you have plenty of room inside the cottage, and double patio doors give the living spaces plenty of light and air.

*MILL BARN COTTAGE*

Mill Barn Cottage is truly stunning. The exterior houses a restored water wheel and has a balcony which overlooks beautiful scenery. The two double bedrooms, one twin and one bedroom with bunks means this gorgeous cottage is ideal for larger groups or families. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished and there are two well equipped bathrooms in the cottage.

The kitchen, lounge and dining room are open plan and very spacious; furniture inside Mill Barn is of the highest quality with the kitchen having a stunning wooden finish.

Mill Barn Cottage has a patio area with furniture provided, as well as a garden area.


All cottages at Tottergill Farm include a wood burning stove (with logs provided), television with digital Freeview, video recorder and DVD player, radio, CD player and central heating. All have private parking and separate laundry facilities are available, although Mill Barn has a washing machine and tumble drier.
