Self Catering Cottage/Home/Apartment Description
A Luxury artistic character 2 bedroomed apartment in a refurbished historic Masonic Building. Luxuriously appointed throughout. Situated in a pedestrianised area. The Temple Building the apartment is in, has classic interior styling and overlooks the 13th Century City walls and is an ideal destination apartment for creative types and visitors to the city and business guests. The Owner resides there when it is not in use and therefore the apartment has many personal touches.
In 1265 the burgesses of Newcastle decided to supplement the defences of the castle with the building of town walls to protect them from the raids of invading Scots. When completed the walls extended for over two miles around the town and were never less than 7 feet thick and up to 25 feet high.
Today the most impressive surviving section of the old town wall is to the west of the city centre in the vicinity of Stowell street where the remains of four towers can be seen from the apartment and are lit at night.
The Apartment sleeps comfortably 4 with 2 double bed rooms. The large living/dining area has 12 ft high ceilings and large beautiful windows. The Living room boasts an extra large designer leather sofa and a 40” Flat screen HD TV . Wi-fi internet access is available throughout apartment and both the double bedrooms provide a pure white calming oasis with designer artwork. There is a fully equipped kitchen with integrated NEF gas hob and fan oven, AEG washer-drier, dishwasher, microwave and toaster. There is one spa styled bathroom with natural rain effect shower over bath and dark wood accents and porcelain flooring. The Apartment is situated on the first floor and accessed by a lift and with a separate stair safety exit and secure entry intercom. We cannot currently accept credit or debit cards - payment must be made by cheque or money transfer by prior arrangement.
