Self Catering Cottage/Home/Apartment Description

Park Farm Cottages have been lovingly restored by us over a number of years, we have tried to retain the traditional character while still introducing the modern amenities including free WIFI broadband. When we renovated the derelict 17th century cottage and farmhouse, to maximise living space, we converted the old farmhouse into 2 self-contained split levels which we call Haywain (the lower level) and Crowsnest (the upper level) both sleep up to 4 in 2 bedrooms. The cottages are less than a mile from Trebarwith Strand - a sandy surf beach, Tintagel with its famous Castle and King Arthur legends is about the same distance. Also close are fishing villages such as Boscastle and Port Isaac. There are loads of great walks literally on the doorstep with stunning coastal views, through woodland past ancient churches or across rugged moorland, we provide maps and directions for many of these along with information on the many other thing to do in the local area, there is much more information on our website below .

Haywain is the ground floor of the old farmhouse, private and self-contained, with all the modern conveniences, while still retaining its original character. The cottage is entered from the rear of the farmhouse, via a conservatory which enjoys magnificent sea and coastline views. The conservatory leads into the well-equipped farm kitchen/diner, with electric cooker, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, and washing machine/dryer. The character living room has an original open slate fireplace, where a log or coal fire can be enjoyed. It contains a TV with Sky Digital and DVD & VCR players, HIFI, coffee table, and comfortable suite. Haywain accommodates a maximum of 4 people in 2 bedrooms - a front bedroom with two single beds, and the rear bedroom with a double bed overlooking sea and valley views. Linen and towels are provided free of charge and beds are made up for your arrival. The family bathroom, entered via a small utility room, has bath with shower over, washbasin and toilet. A hair drier, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, and cleaning utensils are provided for your convenience. At the rear of the farmhouse is a patio with planted tubs, garden furniture, washing line, and ample room to enjoy the barbecue overlooking the sea. There is also a private lawned garden below the patio, planted with a variety of flowering shrubs. Electricity is on £1 coin meters. Cot and highchair are available free on request. Children are most welcome but we are unable to accept pets, however there is a local kennels and cattery close by. There is private off-road parking for one car; extra cars by arrangement.

Crowsnest is the top floor of the old farmhouse cottage, private and self-contained, with all the modern conveniences, while still retaining its original character. This cottage has magnificent views of Trebarwith Valley and Port Isaac Bay. The entrance, via a slate porch, leads upstairs to the hallway, off which all the rooms open. The compact fitted kitchen overlooks sea views, and is equipped with electric hob/oven, microwave oven, toaster, refrigerator, and utensils. Also overlooking fantastic views, is the lounge/diner, furnished with TV with Sky Digital and DVD & VCR players, HIFI dining table and chairs, and 3-piece suite. A doorway leads from the lounge to the conservatory and balcony which, as the cottage name suggests, overlooks the valley and coastline with a birds-eye view. The conservatory is equipped with heating so the spectacular views can be enjoyed at any time of year, no matter what the weather is like. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people in two separate bedrooms - a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Linen is provided free of charge and beds are made up for your arrival. The fitted bathroom has bath with power shower, electric towel heater, and under-floor heating. An iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, and cleaning utensils are provided for your convenience. Electricity is on £1 coin meters. Children are most welcome but, due to the balcony, this cottage is only suitable for children over 10. We regret we are unable to accept pets, however there is a local kennels and cattery close by. There is private off-road parking for one car; extra cars by arrangement.
