Discover what there is to offer by walking, whatever your ability. You can take in the views around Derwentwater, the disused railway line or try hiking the mountains of Scafell Pike or Blencathra.
If you are looking for a place to eat or drink there is a good variety in the area. Enjoy a game of golf or a swim, walking in the parks, a trip to the cinema or even watch a show at the theatre. And for those with a historical interest, the Lakes offers the Castlerigg Stone Circle.

Directions
Brigham Farm and Fornside are easily reached from the M6 turning onto the A66 at Penrith heading to Keswick at Junction 40 for 14 miles.
1/4 mile past the Twa Dogs Inn, Brigham Farm is immediately left under the bridge and before Windebrowe.
Fornside (for The Studio) is found before you reach Keswick if you turn left at Threlkeld Village onto the B5322 for Ambleside. Keep going for 3 miles and you'll see an old railway carriage in a nearby field with Fornside on the left.

Self Catering Cottage/Home/Apartment Description
Sleeping between 2 and 4 people, Brigham Farm provides appartments to suit all needs. Each appartment has its own character and are self contained with colour television, refrigerator, microwave and cooker. There's access to the idyllic gardens and external drying area. All linen, washing machine and ironing facilities are provided for your convenience and we can supply hot water bottles and electric blankets but constant hot water and central heating is included in the tariff from September to May.
Liza is a spacious first floor appartment with 1 bedroom (2 single beds) plus a retractable double bed in the lounge suitable for another 2 people. There's a fully fitted bathroom and kitchen/dining room.
Derwent is perfect for 2 people. This first floor appartment is warm and welcoming with lounge and dining room and a pine staircase leading to the twin room. The pine kitchen supplies all your needs and there's a fully fitted bathroom.
Esk sleeps 2 people in a double bed with single divan in the lounge for a visitor. Found on the first floor, the airy lounge has a kitchen/dining area at one end and there's also a fully fitted bathroom.
Duddon can sleep up to 4 people with a double room and a twin room. The groundfloor appartment is homely and contains fully fitted bathroom and kitchen/dining room.
Eamont sleeps 2 people in a double bed and is cosy with the combined lounge, dining room and kitchen. This apparetment has a shower room with toilet.
Greta can sleep up to 4 people with a double bedroom and retractable double bed in the lounge. The ground floor appartment has a spacious kitchen and dining room and a shower room with toilet.
The Studio sleeps 2 people and is situated in Fornside close to Castle Rock. There's a double room and sofa bed in the lounge if required and fully fitted bathroom. Linen is provided but please bring your own towels. Heating is provided by convector heater and night storage heaters with electricity charged by meter reading. Laundry facilities are available and there's a modern kitchen with electric cooker and microwave. There are picturesque views towards Skiddaw and full advantage of the scenery can be taken from the garden with seating area.
