Located in Kettering's bustling Town Centre, The George Hotel is an impressive building originally built in 1639. Retaining some original features throughout, the Hotel's tasteful blend of contemporary and traditional creates an ideal combination of orginality with modern, style and comfort.
The Hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from Kettering's Railway Stations which is on the Midland Mainline and just 50 minutes from London's St Pancras.
Situated opposite the picturesque Church of St Peter and Paul on Sheep Street, you'll find a great selection of quality shops, boutiques and attractions on your doorstep.

There are 48 bedrooms with the majority of bedrooms having en-suite facilities; double or twin rooms, single rooms and family rooms are available with additional 'Z' beds provided to accommodate everyone.
Our bedrooms are attractively decorated in neutral tones with good natural lighting from large sash windows. Comfortable furniture, a colour TV, coffee and tea-making facilities and a direct dial telephone make The George Hotel a real 'home from home' during your stay. We offer a full selection of quality British Food each day and evening with lighter options available at lunch.
The Sunday carvery is always popular and you will be served from a range of traditional roast meats.
Children are always considered and our selection will not disappoint.
For lighter, simpler food our Bar Snacks are always popular and we serve pastries, scones and other light snacks in The Lounge daily.

Brixworth Pate – a generous slice of the famous local Brixworth pate, served with fresh melba toast and a Cumberland sauce (£3.25)
Garlic and Balsamic Mushrooms – baby button mushrooms fried in garlic butter and deglazed with balsamic vinegar. Served on a bed of fresh crisp leaves
Salmon Fillet – Pan fried and served with fresh asparagus and a choice of either garlic butter, lemon butter or a cream sauce.
The King George II Mixed Grill (not for the faint hearted)-
Pork chop, lamb chop, sausages, gammon steak, rump steak, liver, fried egg, grilled tomato, fried mushrooms, large serving of chips, onion rings and salad.
Steak and Ale Pie - Succulent steak and fresh vegetables, braised in real ale gravy topped with a crispy puff pastry.
Chicken Caesar Salad - Grilled chicken, sweetcorn and crispy bacon bound in a classic Caesar dressing and topped with crunchy croutons.
Mushroom and red pepper stroganoff -
Whole button mushroom and fresh red peppers cooked in a creamy paprika sauce served on a bed of rice.
Breakfast is served from 7.30am offering fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices, yoghurts and cereals before tucking into your cooked breakfast.
The Lounge:
The Lounge room is tastefully decorated in neutral tones with large windows which almost touch both the floor and ceiling; this gives the Lounge natural sunlight throughout the day and the view from these windows is a pleasant look across Kettering's pretty high street.
The relaxed atmosphere in the Lounge will enhance your stay, giving you time to plan your day in the morning or reflect on your experiences during the evening.
The Lounge room is available to residents 24 hours a day, and welcomes non-residents until 11pm.

Boughton House, the Northamptonshire home of the Dukes of Buccleuch and Queensberry, is an impressive stately home 8km away. This beautiful house is open to the public daily and is certainly worth seeing if only for the fabulous furniture and artwork in the house.
The Newlands Shopping Centre has an excellent selection of shops and is very local to The George Hotel.
Childhood home of Princess Diana, Althorp House, makes a lovely day out and is notable, of course, for being the final resting place of the Princess. The house and gardens are truly beautiful and a definite must see while staying in Kettering.
