If you are a golf fan you are spoilt for choice with a large number of golf courses in the area.
Those who'd rather visit the Capital can catch the train (station 5 minute walk away) which only takes 25 minutes. There are many attractions there from the Castle, Hollyrood Palace and Royal Yacht Britannia or you can visit during Hogmany or Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Travel to the Scottish Seabird Centre which has cameras in the colonies so you can learn more about them. The Museum of Flight is also very popular in Summer where you can watch the air shows and see Concorde.
If you like to visit castles and monuments there are lots in the area including Dirleton Castle, Tantalon Castle, Hailes Castle and Lonnoxlove House.

Drem Farmhouse offers both Bed and Breakfast and Self Catering accommodation to suit your needs.
Decorated to a high standard, the Farmhouse provides comfortable B&B rooms: dining room, drawing room and sun room overlooking the scenic gardens. We have a double/family room with private facilities which has enough space for an extra single bed and cot if required, twin room with private facilities and a double room with en-suite.
The self catering accommodation is joined to the main farmhouse and can sleep four people. Access to 'The Bothie' can be gained through the private courtyard. Providing the modern comforts you'll require but retaining its charm, there are two twin rooms which can be joined to make doubles, shower room and spacious kitchen/living area.
The kitchen includes: electric cooker, halogen hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. You'll also find TV/DVD player, CD/Radio and outside is the BBQ and furniture in the private courtyard with access to the gardens. Linen, towels and utilities are all included in the price.
