Situated in the centre of East Sussex, Heathfield is perfectly situated for those looking to discover the surrounding area. Royal Tunbridge Wells found to the north is a great shopping town and an hour to the south, the coastal towns of Eastbourne and Brighton are tourist resorts with many attractions. Rye has many antique shops as do many of the surrounding villages and towns.
London is just 50 miles away, Gatwick Airport an hour away and Dover and Folkestone around 2 hours by car.
Heathfield itself has markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays and there's a diverse range of shops and pubs nearby for a refreshment and meal. There are many National Trust Houses in the area, Batemans was the home of Rudyard Kipling and Chartwell was the home of Winston Churchill.
Walkers and cyclists can explore the South Downs, Pevensey Levels and Cuckoo Trail. If you take a drive to Alfriston you can see the Seven Sisters Cliffs and Coastal Heritage country.

Head towards Eastbourne on the A267 from Tunbridge Wells via Five Ashes and Cross In Hand. Continue through Heathfield High Street on the A265 up the hill to the traffic lights at the cross roads. Turn a sharp left to Mutton Hall Lane to the end of the cul-de-sac where you will find Iwood - the second last house on the left behind the beech hedge. Above the gate there is a B and B sign.

B&B / Guest House Description
Iwood has four rooms available each tastefully decorated to a high standard and kept clean to ensure the comfort of all guests and a homely atmosphere. Central heating keeps rooms warm during the colder months and in summer there are fans supplied.
The family suite includes twin bed and sitting room with private bathroom across the hall. Two additional beds can be put up in the sitting room and can also be used by disabled guests with wheelchair access. The room includes courtesy tray, fridge, hairdryer, ironing facilities, TV, Video/Hi Fi system and another TV in the bedroom.
The Deluxe Double En-suite (full size bathroom) is on the first floor with a super king size oval double bed, courtesy tray, fridge, TV, DVD player and films, hairdryer and ironing facilities. The room also has a private balcony overlooking the gardens.
The double en-suite room includes shower as well as courtesy tray, fridge, TV, radio, hairdryer and ironing facilities. The room is south facing and has picturesque views towards South Downs and the English Channel with the west window looking out over the gardens.
The single room is also on the first floor and has en-suite shower room. This single room has the same views as the double and includes courtesy tray, fridge, hairdryer, ironing facilities, TV and radio.
Guests are free to make use of the sitting room which includes a TV and video and there is a fridge and microwave in the breakfast room if you plan to have a snack – plates and crockery provided.
In the morning guests can enjoy breakfast chosen from the menu. Vegetarian alternatives are available and special requirements available by prior arrangement. Your chosen meal can be enjoyed in the breakfast room while looking out over the south and extras will be provided including home made jam and marmalade.
Smoking is not permitted in the main house but there is a separate smoking room in the garden with a seating area, TV and heating.
