Paddock House Farm is located between the towns of Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock. You can visit any of these picturesque towns to pick up provisions for your stay, and they are all perfect for a day out exploring Derbyshire and the Peak District.
For the thrill seeking visitors, Alton Towers and the American Adventure Park are within a fairly short driving distance from Paddock House Farm. Or try the lesser known Gulliver's Kingdom in Matlock Bath which has over 30 rides for the whole family to enjoy.
Children (and adults!) will adore the amazing Toys of Yesteryear museum and toy shop located in nearby Matlock, or let them burn off some energy at Go Ape in Buxton where the kids' can have a three hour tree climbing experience learning to act just like little monkeys.
Also, don't forget the Peak District National Park itself is a stunningly beautiful area and the more active among you can spend hours or even days just rambling around enjoying the scenery and discovering local plants and wildlife.

Self Catering Cottage/Home/Apartment Description
At Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages we offer five luxury self catering cottages, accommodating a total of 34 people in the beautiful southern area of the Peak District.
Each of our cottages are beautifully decorated and maintained to a very high standard. The kitchen in every cottage has an electric hob and cooker, dishwasher, dining table and fully fitted kitchen units. All kitchen equipment, including crockery and cutlery, is provided making cooking for your family a real pleasure.
Each lounge has its own individual character, although all have plenty of seating for residents to include a bed settee which gives sleeping room for an extra two people. A TV, DVD, Freeview through satellite and video recorder are provided for your entertainment while large windows and open fires provide a relaxing atmosphere throughout the day and night.
All bedrooms have stylish pine furniture and large, comfortable double or single beds. All linen and towels are supplied for the duration of your stay and all cottages have new double glazing and full oil fired central heating with constant hot water. All of our cottages are surrounded by beautiful countryside views; the large windows in the properties really make the most of the surrounding scenery.
The main bathrooms have a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC and some cottages have a separate shower room and WC.
The three bedroom cottages all have their own garden with patio, outdoor furniture and BBQ meaning you can entertain, relax and enjoy the fresh air of the Peak District for longer.
Beech and Ash Holiday Cottages both sleep six in a Master double bedroom and 2 twin rooms, plus an extra two can sleep on the easy to use bed settee. These cottages have stunning pine four poster beds in the Master bedroom and matching pine furniture. The other three bedroom property is Oak Holiday Cottage which features an unusual Master gallery bedroom with attractive sky lights to allow plenty of natural light into the cottage. Oak sleeps five in the Master bedroom, a twin room and a single and two extra on the bed settee.
Hazel Holiday Cottage is our two bedroom property and is beautifully furnished throughout. The Master double bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower, WC and wash basin, this attractive double bedroom is furnished in pine and has a fitted wardrobe. Hazel Cottage will sleep a total of six when using the bed settee and a cot can be provided making this particular cottage ideal for a family break.
Elm is our stunning one bedroom holiday cottage. Spacious and light, this property has an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge with high quality pine furniture throughout. The double four poster bed and dressing table give the bedroom a luxurious feel, this cottage will sleep a total of four plus one cot.
Whichever Holiday Cottage you choose, you will be assured of a warm welcome from Melissa and Mark who will show you around and be on hand for any problems which may arise during your stay.
