Hallwood Farm is ideally located in Cranbrook, Kent to visit Sissinghurst Castle Garden with numerous other National Trust Properties nearby including Batemans, home of Rudyard Kipling, Chartwell and Ightham Mote. English Heritage Properties including Dover Castle, Battle Abbey and Bayham Abbey ruins can easily be reached or for those looking for gardens there is Great Dixter, Scotney, Hole Park, Merriments and Pashley Manor.
There are many castles including Hever, Leeds, Dover Castle and Bodiam Castle or visit Penshurt Place, Chartwell and Knole historical houses. For Museums and Churches there is Cranbrook, Finchcocks, Cobtree and Chatham Dockyards.
Villages and towns in the area include Canterbury, Ashford, Hastings, Maidstone, Rye and Battle perfect for their variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. London is just 1 hour away by train.
Within 15 minutes drive of the B&B you will find many pubs and restaurants we recommend. It is advisable to book in advance including taxis as they may not be available at short notice.

Exit the M25 at Junction 5 taking the A21 to Sevenoaks. Pass Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. At Forstal Farn roundabout, take the first exit continuing through Goudhurst. When you read the Peacok pub turn right onto the B2085 to the end of the road. Turn right at the T junction onto Hawkhurst Road and after 400 yards the speed limit changes from 40 to 50mph. Indicate and turn right onto Hallwood Farm Lane following signs for the Bed and Breakfast. At the end of the lane the Oast is in front of you through the farm yard. There is parking diagonally beside to Oast. Please drive carefully through the farmyard.

If you are looking for a place to unwind, Hallwood Farm Oast in Cranbrook, Kent is ideally located near the Kent and Sussex border offering high quality B&B accommodation on the working Ribena blackcurrant farm.
The beamed Oasthouse offers two spacious double bedrooms with the charm and character of the original building but with all the modern conveniences to ensure you enjoy a comfortable stay. 'Bramling' and 'Fuggle' are furnished in a relaxed country style with king sized beds and original 17th century beams. Fully equipped each room has a full en-suite with shower over bath, towels, bath robes and quality toiletries, TV/DVD, Freeview, radio, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, shoe cleaning kit and Wi-Fi access.
There is independent heating, comfortable seating, plenty of storage space and to welcome you are fresh flowers, tea and coffee making facilities with home made cake and a fridge with fresh milk and mineral water.
Breakfast is served in the dining room where you can help yourself to a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and juices followed by a delicious Farmhouse English breakfast and alternate menu suiting a wide variety of tastes. Examples include hot oat porridge, smoked salmon with scrambled egg and home made fish cakes with baked tomatoes. All ingredients are high quality and sourced locally where possible with blackcurrants and apples fresh from the farm when in season. If you are vegetarian or have any special dietary requirements, just let us know in advance and we will be happy to cater to your needs.
There is safe off road parking available at the Farmhouse and guests are welcome to bring bikes with many cycle tracks at Bedgebury Forest. With 200 acres of farmland you can see how the blackcurrants are grown for Ribena.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate children or pets. No smoking is permitted in or around the B&B, garden or farmyard.
