Dunoon can easily be reached by foot just 10 minutes away where you'll find the shopping centre, supermarkets, clothes shops, sports shops, hardware and electrical shops as well as restaurants, coffee shops and takeaways. There's also a Tourist Information if you need any help with ideas of what to do during your stay.
There are many attractions including Castle House Museum, Castle House Gardens, the Bishop's Glen and Morag's Fairy Glen. For the sporty guest there's the Dunoon Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre, Cowal Golf Club, tennis, bowling and of course walking along the promenade. Cowal provides the perfect landscape to go hill walking and cycling with sandy beach at Kilbride Bay and Kyles of Bute and Tighnabruaich. From Dunoon Pier you can take a trip on the Waverley Paddle Steamer or just spend a relaxing time at Benmore Botanic Gardens.

30% of the total balance is required to secure booking with the remaining balance to be paid 35 days (5 weeks) prior to stay.
An £80 security deposit is required too which will be refunded within 7 days after inspection of the property.
Short breaks (2-4) nights available except during July and August.

Directions
From Gourock you can catch the Caledonian-MacBrayne ferry to Dunoon Pier or Western Ferries from McInroy's Point to Hunter's Quay. Western Ferries have frequent 2-4 sailings per hour and Cal-Mac hourly at 20 past the hour.
From Dunoon Pier, turn right onto the Promenade and head straight on for half a mile where you will find Lyall Cliff on the left.
From Hunter's Quay, turn left to the coastal road and continue for a half mile passing through Kirn village until you find Lyall Cliff on the right.

Self Catering Cottage/Home/Apartment Description
Firthview House (semi detached) and Lyall Cliff Cottage (attached) are located on Dunoon Promenade offering views across the sea and East Bay at Dunoon.
Firthview House is spacious with sleeping for up to 8 within the 2 en-suite double and 2 en-suite twin bedrooms. The ground floor has disabled access with ramp at the front to the spacious kitchen/diner, lounge and one of the twin rooms plus an extra toilet/shower room near the entrance. Upstairs there's the second twin room and a wicker sitting room and the double rooms which have stunning North facing views towards the Loch Lomond Hills, Arran and the Cumbrae Islands. TV's are provided in most bedrooms or you can relax in front of the one in the sitting room with a DVD and Freeview. The kitchen is fully equipped and provides guests with fridge/freezer, washer dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, 2 kettles and utensils. With central heating and double glazing throughout you can enjoy the warm and welcoming house even during the colder months.
Lyall Cliff Cottage is smaller sleeping 4 in the upstairs double and twin bedrooms. The twin room has smaller 2'6” beds which will suit children better but still offers a clean and comfortable place to stay. Downstairs there's a bright and airy sitting room with TV, Freeview and video player and you'll also find books and information to help you make the most of your stay. Fully equipped, the kitchen provides electric cooker, fridge, washer dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle and utensils and there is also a bathroom with bath and electric shower. The cottage has central heating and double glazing throughout and parking in front of the cottage which is set back from the promenade. From the sitting room and bedrooms upstairs you can still enjoy the sea views Lyall Cliff Cottage provides.
The garden, shared by both Firthview House and Lyall Cliff Cottage is large with seating at the front terrace for you to enjoy the best of the weather and the sea views. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate children under 4 or pets.
