Compton House Bed & Breakfast in Newark offers luxurious accommodation with a range of rooms available: single, double, 2 twin and family room which will sleep 4. With a welcoming and friendly atmosphere the bed and breakfast combines original features and antiques with modern facilities to make your stay a comfortable and relaxing one.
Six of the seven rooms include en-suite facilities but each has comfortable beds with high quality linen, courtesy tray, TV with Freeview, clock radio and hairdryer. Guests will find a range of books and magazines in rooms to enjoy and complimentary Taylor of London toiletries. Guests travelling with laptops can also make use of the free Wi-Fi connection available. There is no smoking within Compton House B&B but guests can smoke in the courtyard.
At breakfast there is a variety of things to choose from including homemade muesli, porridge, fresh fruit, fruit juice, Full English with Lincolnshire herb sausages, black pudding and smoked bacon, fried, poached or scrambled eggs, toast with homemade preserves and freshly ground coffee or tea. If you don't have time to sit down and eat we can have a packed breakfast made up for you to take away.
For the perfect romantic break there is a Four Poster room with free standing roll top bath. If you are getting married the bride and bridesmaids or mother of the bride can enjoy an informal dinner the night before and pyjama breakfast with Bucks Fizz when getting ready. Your Make up artists and hairdressers are welcome to come and help you and photographer to capture the “getting ready” photos. Our Bride and Groom package includes a night in the Four Poster, complimentary chocolates, a bouquet of flowers and champagne breakfast in bed. Lisa will be happy to help you make any arrangements with years of experience and a many contacts.
The drawing room is free for guests to use where you can relax with a book, magazine or newspaper or just enjoy the warmth of the roaring log fire during winter. When the weather is nice there's seating out in the courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of tea.
