Fordingbridge is a traditional riverside town situated on the edge of the New Forest National Park with the River Avon flowing the town's graceful bridge. It is surrounded by a group of diverse villages such as Breamore, Woodgreen, Godshill & Rockbourne to the north, south, east & west. Cranborne Chase is just a few miles away.
The New Forest is a region of exceptional natural beauty, with large open heaths, moors, greens, leafy glades & dells interspersed with woods & plantations, picturesque streams & brooks, peaceful old villages, ancient churces & quaint houses & pubs.
The coastal resort of Bournemouth is 17 miles south. The city of Salisbury is just a few miles north with excellent shopping, a weekly market & its famous cathedral. Other historic sights include Breamore & Wilton Houses & Stonehenge.
Other places of interest include Beaulieu (Abbey Ruins, Palace House & the National Motor Museum), Exbury Gardens. Fishing, golf & horse-riding are all available nearby. There are indoor & outdoor swimming pools at Sandy Balls Holiday Village which is nearby. Moors Valley Country Park, near Ringwood is highly recommended.

Directions
From the M27, take the exit at Junction 1, signposted to New Forest/Lyndhurst/Cadnam. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit (B3078) to Fordingbridge. In Fordingbridge, go right at the mini-roudabout towards Salisbury. You will filter left onto the A338 at the northern end of Fordingbridge. On your left you will pass the Burgate School, the Hour Glass Restaurant & the Tudor Rose Pub. Immediately after the pbu turn left down the lane marked 'Burgate Farm & Keepers Gate'. Then turn right immediately into our driveway.

Burgate Farmhouse is a 15th century listed property situated in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, just 5 mins drive from the edge of the New Forest National Park.
It has 2 self catering cottage wings. Wishing Well sleeps 6 & Little Thatch sleeps 2-4. There is a half acre garden with plenty of parking, swings, BBQ, summerhouse, garden furniture, football net. There is a laundry room for guests' use. Little Thatch has a private back garden/yard area which is secure for dogs. There is a lovely old thatched pub just 2 doors away & a nice restaurant just a bit further away. Bed linen is inclusive. There is a large Games Barn with pool table, table tennis, dartboard & lots of children's toys. Freeview is available. Also, free broadband wifi is available. As well as colour TV's with DVD players (& library of DVD's for you to borrow) there are CD players/radios.
The Avon Valley footpath is nearby. The River Avon is just over the road.
Kitchens and bathrooms have all been recently refurbished.
Most rooms are full of beams with lots of character.
Cots and highchairs are available. Dogs are welcome (small charge made).
