Cobbinshaw Loch Cottages are located close to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling with a range of attractions for great days out. With easy access to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Prestwick airports and good rail links you explore the area easily.
In Edinburgh you can stroll along the Royal Mile, visit Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat, the National Gallery, Botanic Gardens, Dynamic Earth and shop on Princes Street. Edinburgh Zoo can be found 10 minutes from the centre with over 1000 animals. Walkers of many abilities can visit the Pentland Hills and make the most of the views.
Glasgow's architecture includes the neo-classical Alexander “Greek” Thomson style and art nouveau style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. You can enjoy shopping, the various cafes and resaurants, exhibitions and entertainment on offer.
Scotland's Hertitage Capital at Stirling is filled with history where you can visit the castle, Bannockburn Heritage Centre and National Wallace Monument. Cobbinshaw Loch holiday cottages have 2 self catering cottages within West Lothian. Swallow Cottage can be found by Cobbinshaw Loch and will sleep up to 6 people and Smithy Brae is within the town of Kirknewton and will sleep up to 5 people.
With views over the Pentland Hills and Cobbinshaw Loch, Swallow Cottage is welcoming with an open fire in the living room, colour TV, hifi and double bed settee. The separate dining room will comfortably seat 6 people and the fully fitted and well equipped kitchen includes fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cooker and washing machine. The ground floor also has a new bathroom with electric shower. Upstairs Swallow Cottage has two bedrooms – one double and one twin room. The cottage has a secure enclosed garden where you can enjoy a barbeque, sit outdoors or take a walk.
Smithy Brae is a terraced house in Kirknewton with the downstairs including the living room with colour TV, DVD player, hifi, a dining area with seating for 6 and the fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, cooker and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms – one double and one twin and a bathroom. There's a small garden outside to the front and back of the house.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets and the cottages are non-smoking. A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request.
