From the M1: leave the motorway at Junction 24 signposted for Alton Towers. Once off the motorway, follow the A50 towards Uttoxeter. As you near Uttoxeter you will reach a roundabout with Alton Towers signposted to the left if coming from Stoke (M6) or right if coming from Derby (M1). Follow the B5030 and turn off to the left after the JCB factory when the Alton Towers signs tell you to. Follow the B5032 past Denstone village and turn left over the humpback bridge (following signs for Alton Towers). After 1.5 miles you will reach the Blacksmith's Arms where you turn right into Alton Village. Bank House is 1/4 mile down this road on the right opposite the Londis shop.

Bank House has been refurbished to a very high standard with five double/twin rooms, family room and triple room. Most rooms are spacious enough for an additional guest bed and cot if necessary.
The non-smoking guest house rooms include en-suite facilities with toiletries, LCD TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits. Two of the double rooms have four poster beds and whirlpool baths making them our most popular luxurious rooms. The other double and twin rooms have modern shower rooms and very comfortable beds.
Welcome packs in rooms provide details of the facilities at Bank House, the village and local attractions and places to visit.
Wine, champagne, chocolates and flowers can be ordered and awaiting your arrival – just let us know what you would like when booking.
In the morning you can enjoy breakfast served in the breakfast room cooked with fresh local ingredients where possible. Fruit juice, tea and coffee are served with your breakfast and a selection of cereals; muesli, yoghurts, fresh fruit, and toast are followed by a Full Staffordshire breakfast. There are Cumberland sausage sandwiches, bacon sandwiches, eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, toasted bagels, pancakes and croissants.
Champagne can be served at breakfast at an additional cost or breakfast served in your room for a £5 supplement.
Bank House has its own internet café where you can enjoy a drink while you surf the net or enjoy a light snack.
