Fernie Castle Hotel is a 14th century castle near Cupar with all the charm and character of a 450 year old castle while including modern comforts and facilities to host wedding ceremonies, functions catering for 180 diners, business meetings, seminars and corporate entertainment.

There are 20 bedrooms available including four poster doubles, doubles, family room (with double and single), twin and single rooms each with en-suite facilities with bath or shower, colour TV, trouser press, hairdryer, direct dial telephone and courtesy tray.

The Alliance Room with large Georgian chandelier, fresh flowers and candles provide the perfect place to enjoy a late dinner or for a more informal dinner, the stone vaulted Keep Bar offers delicious bar meals. For a quiet drink or coffee before dinner you can relax in The Wallace Lounge or quieter residents lounge on the first floor.

For a large function of 180 dinners is the Balfour Suite with its own bar and lounge with views over the loch. Smaller dining rooms are also available for 8-30 and special menus can be arranged.

Within the woods perched on 6 sycamore trees is Fernie Castle Treehouse. Entered from the flight of stairs you will reach a balcony covered in fairy lights with stained glass double doors leading to the bedroom. With elm king size bed, handmade furniture and complete comfort the Treehouse has electricity, plumbing, heating, alarm, telephone, flat screen TV, DVD, CD player, coffee maker and fridge full of champagne, chocolates and other goodies.

Climbing the stairs takes you to the octagonal bathroom with fairy frieze and ceiling painted with stars and unicorns and huge slipper bath under a flower and leaf chandelier. The three balconies have picturesque views over the countryside and one includes a swing. The Treehouse is 500 yards from Fernie Castle Hotel with complete privacy and private garden leading to Fernie burn.
