The cliff railway links the two villages or explore Exmoor on foot with 680 miles of footpaths from gentle strolls to hikes. The Valley of the Rocks, Watersmeet and Countisbury Hill are within walking distance. The South West Coast Path, Two Moors Way and Tarka Trail are long distance paths all within easy reach.

From Lynmouth take the 'alternative route to Lynton for light cars' road. When you reach the junction giving you right of way where the road double backs to Lynton, carry straight on passing the Lynbridge sign. Woodlands can be found ¼ mile along on the right.
From Barbrook take the B3234 towards Lynton/Lynmouth, After ½ mile where the road forks, take the right fork for Lynmouth. Pass the Bridge Inn on your right and you'll soon find Woodlands.
