The River Spey offers the perfect opportunity to do some fishing with salmon, native brown trout, grilse and sea trout. The River Avon which runs into the Spey also has salmon and sea trout. There are many golf courses in the area including Ballindalloch Golf Course on the doorstep, Nairn, Cawdor, Spey Bay, Grantown-on-Spey, Kingussie, Newtonmore, Inverness and Loch Ness courses.
Clay Pigeon shooting, deer stalking, and grouse shooting are offered close by or for the more adventurous there's hang gliding, mountaineering, orienteering, climbing, off road driving, pony trekking, dog-sledding or water sports including surfing, wind surfing, canoeing and sailing. Winter snow sports including skiing and snowboarding. Cairngorm Ski Centre and Lecht 2090 both offer tuition and slopes for all abilities.
Walking and cycling provide the perfect way to explore the area with the Bed and Breakfast on the Speyside Way – an official long distance route in Scotland. The area is rich in wildlife and the RSPB Osprey Centre is at nearby Loch Garten.
Close by castles include Ballindalloch Castle across the River Spey or the castles at Cawdor, Blairfindy, Auchindoun, Drumlin and Brodie.

From Edinburgh and Glasgow: take the A9 north through Perth to Aviemore. Turn onto the A95 for 24 miles to the turning on the left - the B9137 for Cragganmore.
From Inverness or Aberdeen follow the A96 to Elgin. Turn south on the A941 to Craigellachie following the A95 to Aberlour, past Ballindalloch Castle over the Bridge of Avon and turn right onto the B9317 to Cragganmore.
The driveway to Cragganmore House is 1 mile on the left just before you come to the Distillery.
