From London:
Follow the M1 to the M6 and follow signs for Birmingham. Take the M54 for Telford and continue till you reach the A5, Shrewsbury Road. Follow directions for Llangollen and continue through Llangollen to Corwen and turn left at the traffic lights for Bala. Continue to Bala on the A4212 (12 miles approx) and turn right on entering Bala for Trawsfynydd and Porthmadog (A487) following the road through Criccieth. 2 miles from Criccieth, turn right for Chwilog and Nefyn (brown tourist signpost for Glasfryn Parc). Continue down the B4354 through Chwilog to Y Ffor following the A499 for 2 miles turning right for Pencaenewydd and Ancient Monument after the brown sign and entrance for Glasfryn Parc which is on your right.
Tan Y Bryn
After turning right towards Pencaenewydd/Ancient Monument continue for 2 miles to the staggered junction approachin Pencaenewydd. Turn left for ½ mile. Tanybryn is on the left up the farm track and over 2 cattle grids. There is a mirror half way up a telegraph pole just opposite the entrance. The track is rough but accessible by car with care.
Glasfryn Fawr
After turning right towards Pencaenewydd/Ancient Monument take the next right to Glasfryn Fawr, bearing left on the farm track. The kitchen door (double door) will be open and key inside.
Glasfryn Uchaf, Coach House and Garden Cottage
After turning right off the road towards Pencaenewydd/Ancient Monument, take the second left (the driveway has been tarmaced recently). Drive up the main drive, past the lake and Glasfryn Uchaf is the first on the right. Please park in the layby before the cottage, under the lavender.
The Coach House is just beyond Glasfryn Uchaf. Please park outside. Continue along the lane where you'll find Garden Cottage detached among the trees.
From the A55:
A55, Caernarfon, A499 Caernarfon-Pwllheli main road. 15 miles from Caernarfon you will pass through Llanaelhaearn and the road will continue straight for a few miles. Passing Glasfryn Fencing Centre on the left, take the next left for Pencaenewydd/Ancient Monuement. Take the first right for Glasfryn Fawr and the second left for Glasfryn Uchaf, Coach House and Garden Cottage.

Self Catering Cottage/Home/Apartment Description
Glasfryn Cottages provide ideal self catering accommodation in North West Wales on the Llyn Peninsula. The 5 detached cottages offer great value for money close to the Cardigan Coast and Snowdonia mountains. Decorated in a country style each cottage is comfortable and relaxing with log fires, beamed ceilings, antique furniture, en-suite bathrooms and private gardens making them perfect for romantic getaways, group holidays – stag and hen parties, golfing and fishing holidays and family breaks.
• Glasfryn Fawr is a 17th century stone farmhouse sleeping up to 10. It's set in park like gardens with views over farmland towards the sea. Perfect for families there is also a lake behind the cottage to let you try some coarse fishing.
The drawing room gives you a great space to relax with no TV but a large stone Inglenook fireplace with log burner, antiques and original paintings. A smaller second sitting room is perfect for the kids with TV with Sky Freeview, DVD and video player and smaller log burning stove.
The kitchen is well equipped with oil fired range for heating hot water and cooking. There's an electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, toaster, electric kettle, food processor and dishwasher. The separate dining area has large pine table and chairs and views overlooking the garden.
The downstairs bathroom is found next to the kitchen and there's a utility rooms with toilet, shower and a built in washing machine and tumble drier.
Adjacent to the utility room is double bedroom with a further 4 upstairs. The main king size double bedroom has en-suite facilities, the middle bedroom with bunk beds, a pink room with double 'half tester' bed and matching furniture and a fourth room with two single beds. Each bedroom has duvets, synthetic pillows, antique furniture, original paintings, books and magazines for a homely atmosphere and picturesque garden or Cardigan Bay views.
• The Coach House will also sleep 10 but can be rented with Glasfryn Uchaf adjacent to the property making it ideal for large groups. Recent renovated and enlarged it is located amongst pine trees and well kept formal grounds. The cottage is spacious with entrance hall, laundry room, washing machine, dryer, W.C. and basin and spacious kitchen with colourful garden views.
The living room is very comfortable with garden views, large log fire, TV with Freeview, HiFi and free WiFi internet access.
The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle and food processor. The dining room will comfortably seat 10-12 which is perfect for dinner parties and convivial evenings and is furnished with antiques.
The 'Rose' bedroom includes a brass bed, decorated with antiques and looks out onto the pine woods and garden. The en-suite facilities include over over bath. The other bedrooms each contain zip and link beds which can be used as a king size double or two single beds. They are decorated with a homely feel with books, magazines, antique furniture and original paintings.
• Glasfryn Uchaf is a 17th century stone cottage with gardens, woodlands, near a 13 acre lake and will sleep 5. The bungalow is furnished with antiques and paintings.
The living room is spacious with large stone inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove (logs supplied). There is bespoke furniture, 2 large sofas, colour TV/DVD and video player with Freeview. A range of books, DVDs, games, magazines and HiFi are supplied to keep you entertained while in the cottage.
The modern kitchen/diner is equipped with electric oven and hob, electric kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
The two ground floor bedrooms include a double king size brass bed and en-suite shower room while the second is a twin room adjacent to the bathroom. The attic which can be reached by steep ladder like stairs has a single bedroom with limited headroom but ideal to relax in with a book.
• Garden Cottage is perfect for couples but will sleep 6. Secluded, the cottage is surrounded by gardens, woodlands and lakes letting you get away from it all. The cottage has beamed ceilings, log fires, rugs and comfortable sofa while outside the large lawns are perfect for football, badminton and sunbathing.
The sitting room has its original terracotta tiled floor with wood burner (free logs supplies). It's the ideal place to relax with sofas, books, HiFi, colour TV, DVD and video player, games and cards.
The small galley-type kitchen includes dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric whisk, kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer.
The main bedroom has views over the large herbaceous flower bed, French upholstered bed and twin room overlooking mature beech trees. The bathroom has a cast iron bath and original tiles. Downstairs there is a king size double which can also be used as a twin with zip and link beds. The bathroom adjacent includes electric shower over bath.
• Tan Y Bryn is a detached farmhouse on elevated ground giving picturesque views to the mountains of Snowdonia and the Cardigan Coast. Recently refurbished the cottage provides luxury self catering accommodation sleeping 6.
The living room is furnished in a cottage style with terracotta floor and woodborer (logs provided). There are comfortable sofas, books, HiFi and colour TV with Freeview and DVD player.
The kitchen is in a farmhouse style with Rayburn range, electric hob, combination microwave, fridge/freezer, electric blender, toaster, kettle and dishwasher. There is seating for 8-10 and a great place for entertaining. The utility/boot room includes washing machine and tumble dryer and there's a downstairs toilet with washbasin.
The master bedrooms has a king size brass bed with views overlooking the coast and countryside and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. The smaller second bedroom has zip and link beds so it can be used as a king size double or twin room. It includes antique furniture and views over the countryside to the coast. The third bedroom has two full size bunk beds and views of the ancient Garn Pentyrch Mountain.
Each cottage is centrally heated (storage heaters in Glasfryn Uchaf) with logs provided free of charge. Bed linen is freshly laundered and beds made up for your arrival. Kitchen towels are supplies and cot and high chairs available by arrangement. Towels are not provided by can be hired for £5 per person.
Pets are very welcome as long as they are kept on a lead. Outside there is a picnic table and barbeque which guests are free to use. Homemade meals can be sourced from our farm shop. A hamper with local produce for a full English breakfast for the duration of your stay is available for £25.
