From South M6/A74:
From the A74 take the A702 through Biggar onto the A720 City Bypass signposted “Edinburgh South and East”. Exit the bypass at Straiton Junction, join the A701 following signs for City Centre. After 2.5 miles bear left onto Craigmillar Park and ¼ mile ahead you will find Ben Craig House on your right.
From South M1:
Take the A68 from Scotch Corner through Jedburgh and Dalkeith. After Dalkeith the road merges with the A7. Follow signs for the City Centre. After 2.5 miles bear left onto Craigmillar Park and ¼ mile ahead you will find Ben Craig House on your right.
You can also take the A1 coastal route joining the City Bypas approaching the city. Leave the bypass at the first junction (Sheriffhall Roundabout) and join the A7 signposted for Edinburgh where it merges with the A68.
From Glasgow:
The M8 ends at the Edinburgh Interchange roundabout. Take the 3rd exit for “Edinburgh South and East”. Exit the bypass at Straiton Junction, join the A701 following signs for City Centre. After 2.5 miles bear left onto Craigmillar Park and ¼ mile ahead you will find Ben Craig House on your right.
From Edinburgh Airport:
Follow the M8 to the Edinburgh Interchange. Follow signs for the A720 Berwick and South. Exit the bypass at Straiton Junction, join the A701 following signs for City Centre. After 2.5 miles bear left onto Craigmillar Park and ¼ mile ahead you will find Ben Craig House on your right.
By rail:
From Waverley Station turn right onto Princes Street. Cross over to the shop side for buses 3, 31, 69 or 80 heading east. Continue along the main route until the shops end and hotels/guest house begin. Exit at Craigmillar Park outside Ben Craig House. Bus journey will take around 10 minutes.

Ben Craig Guest House is a Victorian property retaining many of its original features and decorated to a very high standard. You will be warmly welcomed and with a range of rooms including single, double, triple and family rooms you are sure to find something to suit your needs.
Each room is tastefully decorated to a very high standard with en-suite facilities, full central heating, colour TV, radio/alarm, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. For small family groups there are cots and additional beds available.
Children under 3 stay free at Ben Craig Guest House and groups are very welcome.
Free parking is available at both the front and the rear of the guest house with additional free on street parking on the adjoining street. You can safely leave your car while sightseeing in Edinburgh and Central Scotland.
Laundry service including iron and ironing board are available if required. Free WiFi internet access is provided and access to the fax machine and payphone for your convenience.
Wake up to the most important meal of the day with fresh fruit, fruit juices, cereals, porridge and eggs cooked to your specifications. There are also cheeses, breads, muffins, tea, coffee and toast to help set you up for a busy day exploring. If you have any special dietary requirements, just let us know.
Breakfast can be enjoyed in the conservatory and guests are free to relax on the patio and garden.
