Located in South Dorset, The Castleton is ideally situated in Swanage just 100 metres from the sandy beaches at Swanage Bay. With all the traditions of the English seaside there are ice creams on the beach and Punch and Judy shows.
The South West Coastal path passes through Dorset, just a few hundred yards from the Castleton or there are walks from Swanage to Corfe castle and Nine Barrow Down where you can then catch the steam train back. Durlston Country Park offers nature trails and cliff walks and Centre lets you hear dolphins and other sea creatures on the hydrophone. For there Twitchers there is a rich bird life and for the kids there is Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum.

From London take the A3 then M23 and A31 to Poole. Follow the A351 via Wareham into Swanage. On reaching the sea front, turn left into Ulwell Road and as you start to ascend the hill away from the beach, The Castleton is located on your right approx 100 metres from the beach.
Alternatively take the A338 to Bournemouth and follow signs for Sandbanks. The chain ferry can be taken from 7am to 11pm costing £3.20 per car. Follow the road through Studland Village into Swanage. The Castleton is on the left hand side as you enter the town approx 100 metres from the beach.

The hotel sitting room offers a place to unwind at any time of the day: read, play a board game, watch TV or just make the most of the view towards Swanage Bay.
