Self Catering Cottage/Home/Apartment Description

Your choice: The original Station Master's House (sleeps 8) or one of our 3 luxury Railway Carriages (each sleeping 2+2)

The Station Master's House is exactly as the name would suggest and steeped in the character and history befitting of such title.
The unique layout, additions and extensions over the years make it deceptively spacious. With a master double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms on the first floor and another twin room on the ground floor, it sleeps up to 8 in comfort and possibly 10 with a little imagination.
The kitchen, interestingly having two windows directly overlooking the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway Station, is supplied with all the pots, pans and utensils you could wish for in a self-catering property! Together with a real log fire in one lounge, patio doors and a dining area in the other, central heating throughout, and two bathrooms - the lack of home comforts is not an issue!

Our Railway Carriages - Audrey, Cygnus and Ibis - are romantically named after carriages on the Orient Express.
Timber flooring and beautiful brass fittings complement the warm brown and cream decor, giving a cosy, quaint yet modern ambience.
Centrally heated throughout, a comfortable lounge area with stylish leather corner suite and satellite TV, a dining area with oak table and leather chairs, fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and integrated fridge, fully fitted bedrooms with colour co-ordinated bed-linen, a shower room with power shower, decking area with table and benches - all designed to ensure a peaceful haven for the more demanding holidaymaker.

A most unusual accommodation style rarely available!

Hire 1,2,3 or all 4 of our properties to suit the size of your group.

Why not make the most of the stunning surroundings by hiring cycles from our on-site selection? We have something for everyone - adults and childrens bikes, tagalongs, towalongs and child seats for those too small to ride, we even have a fun tandem and 2 custom Penny Farthings!

Local Attractions

Sitting trackside the working heritage Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, with steam and diesel trains running up to 2 days a week, the attraction for rail enthusiasts is obvious.
But step back and consider far more.........

A real haven of peace and tranquillity, amazingly just ten minutes drive from the hubbub of Cleethorpes and Grimsby and the more traditional, nostalgic appeal of Louth.

Ideally situated for cycling, walking, fishing and golf, there are numerous opportunities in every direction! Visitors will enjoy the range and diversity of activities and attractions that abound in close proximity. With so much going on in the area one could never be short of things to do!
The amazing views, stretching out to Lincolnshire's rolling Wolds and to the coast less than 6 miles away, with the vistas of Lincolnshire's famously big skies, can't fail to delight.

For thrills and spills, Pleasure Island in Cleethorpes is about 10 minutes drive away. There is karting in Waltham and golf courses and fishing ponds too numerous to mention! Surrounded by quaint villages with lovely old churches and by market towns with all their antique shops and tearooms, scenic drives and walks are an absolute pleasure.
Louth, the capital Market Town of Lincolnshire is just 6 miles away and well worth a visit.
Lincoln is just a little farther down the road and a well-known attraction with it's historic castle and cathedral.

Why not hire a cycle during your stay and enjoy the tranquillity of the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside at a more leisurely pace...
